Alpine Paradise Upper Valais

If the Himalayas are the roof of the world, then the Upper Valais can justifiably be called the roof of Europe or at least the roof of Switzerland: After all, 42 of the total 82 four-thousand-metre peaks of the Alps surround the deeply cut Rhone Valley - in the north as well as in the south.

Discover the Upper Valais without borders - from Disentis to Zermatt

So that you can experience your trip as individually as possible, we will give you the MANU oberwallisPass. With this pass you can use public transport in the Upper Valais and discover the region without limits. In addition, you will receive 12 selected experiences from us, which are already included in the price of the trip.

MANU mountain holidays within reach of the Matterhorn

From the Alpine town of Brig, situated at 691 m above sea level, day trips to the longest glacier in the Alps or to the Gornergrat with its view of the Matterhorn and the Dufourspitze, Switzerland's highest peak at 4,634 m, are enticing. But we would also like to open your eyes to the less known treasures in the Upper Valais. Discover authentic Valaisian villages, roam through the highest vineyards in Europe and hike along centuries-old suonen.

In the 19th century Napoleon had it extended for his artillery - the first continuous artificial road in the Alps. Brig's landmark is the baroque Stockalper Castle.
