The Matterhorn Gotthard Railway takes you right through the heart of the Alps to the Oberalp Pass at 2,033 m. The journey takes you through tunnels, over bridges and past galleries. The panorama at the top of the pass including the lighthouse is impressive (free ride).

Postbus ride Simplonpass
The importance of the Simplon Pass as a connection between Brig and Domodossola was already recognised by Napoleon. Today you can travel comfortably over this pass by post bus and enjoy wonderful views along the way (free travel).

Postbus ride Saastal-Linie
Enjoy a view of the highest mountain on Swiss soil, the Dom (4,545 m. a.s.l.), as you drive through the Saas Valley, past Saas-Fee. At the end of the valley is the Mattmark reservoir, the largest earth dam in Europe (free ride).

Belalp
A cable car as the only access to a car-free village - this is the case for the village of Belalp. From the top station, a 30-minute hike takes you to the Aletschbord viewpoint with a view towards the Aletsch Glacier (one ascent and one descent).
